Bye bye blog

Hi everyone,
I get the feeling that blogging will never a part of my daily schedule again so I think it's time to say goodbye to this site. If you have the time and energy blogging can be a great way of keeping a sort of journal/diary. And it can surely open some doors as well. If I choose to pick it up again one day, it will probably be on a new site linked to my official homepage. I'll let you know if that happens :)

In the meantime, you can still find me on:

Naturally dyed eggs, with cabbage and onion

I found a great tutorial over at danceypantsdisco on how to make these beautiful eggs.  I was especially interested in making the blue ones. If you want to know in detail how to make everything head over to her blog. I'll just give a quick explanation on how I did it.

So what I used was red onion shells, yellow onion shells, red cabbage, beetroot, turmeric and various flowers/plants. Put each veggie/spice in a separate pot and boil it with water for about 20-30 minutes. When boiling the onion shells, use more shells than I show on the picture.

Wrap your flowers and plants tight to the egg with pantyhose fabric.

And then put the eggs in the cooled dye liquid and let it stand for about 8-10 hours. If you add vinegar to the dye it will give the egg a much stronger color. My dark blue eggs are with vinegar and the lighter blue are without. The pink-ish egg is from beetroot.

26 January 2016

It might not look like snowy Sweden but the windows were covered with ice and the snow was on the ground outside this green room. We seek heat in various places during winter, this is the warm greenhouses in Lunds botanical garden, otherwise we frequently go to the hot yoga studio or the sauna by the sea.

New Homepage

Hi everyone!
I've switched from indexhibit to wordpress and updated my homepage.
I work on a very big screen so all the images look big when I view them, but I noticed that when zooming in on them on a laptop some nearly get smaller - remember then to click on the fullscreen mode in the top left corner of the preview mode.
